Annapolis Announces the Opening of Drying Center
Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announced that the City of Annapolis will open the Pip Moyer Recreation Center the week of June 28 as a drying center from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Center is located at 273 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis and residents utilizing the facility as a drying center will not have access to recreation actives.
The City of Annapolis has experienced periods of record-breaking rain over the past week with several inches of precipitation during most days. The combination rain and high humidity will combine to create a situation where people can become very wet, and the very young and elderly are at the highest risk.
If you have neighbors or know someone who is wet, check on them. A dry indoor location is the best defense against wetness. Never leave small children or pets unattended during the rain, as they may become extremely wet very quickly.
